Geaux Girl Giving is an intimate collective of Black womxn dedicated to supporting Black womxn-led social change across the New Orleans region.


Are you looking to join a giving circle? Fresh Philanthropy is organizing a new giving circle focused on supporting women, girls and gender expansive people in the New York City area. If you would like to be part of the group of thought leaders who will help name and found this effort, contact by September 2, 2021.


Barbering has a long and storied history in the African American community. This exhibit explores that past, shining light on the experiences that led to the building of Mr. Seymour's establishment that now houses SAAM as well as how barber shops and beauty parlors became a natural gathering place to stay connected to culture and ideas.
